LORDSCIENCE UNIVERSAL
AKA: David William Jones
Bio:

LORDSCIENCE UNIVERSAL is an artist  whose paintings are epic abstract explorations. These surreal landscapes push the materiality of paint within the dynamic of texture and color.  Lordscience has exhibited in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Germany.  In 2018, he was selected as a Taos artist in residence at the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico. In 2017, he won Best in Show, Representing The West: A New Frontier, Pueblo Colorado.  He received his Masters in Painting from the University of Delaware and his B.F.A. from the Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, B.C.  He currently lives and works in his native state of Colorado.

Artist Statement:

My Paintings explore my perceptions.

I embrace that which appears on the periphery of my observations and the unseen: a reality out of a world that seems to be invisible when it’s not being looked at.

I think it’s important to look at things. Using paint, color, and mark-making I long to emulate the etheral quality of being in the present.
